New Program: Snakes & Turtles

Every Wednesday in July and August, Gus Ben David and Anne Lemenager present "Snakes & Turtles", an hour-long educational presentation for young and old alike.

Please arrive early - the program starts at 10am sharp!
$10, includes park admission after the show.
The park will open for general admission on Wednesdays at noon.

Gus to Retire from Felix Neck Sanctuary

After 36 years as director of Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, Gus will retire on December 31st of this year. He plans to spend his time focusing on the World of Reptiles and Birds. Read more about it here.

Gus Receives Award from Martha’s Vineyard Foundation

Gus was awarded today by the Permanent Endowment Fund for Martha's Vineyard with the Award for Creative Living from the Ruth J. Bogan & Ruth Redding Fund. Gus received this honor for his outstanding community service and achievement.

"Gus Ben David has spent his life sharing his wonder, and his knowledge, with Vineyard children," said Deborah L. Hale, fund president. "His positive influence on Island children and on the Island conservation movement is truly remarkable."

Friends and family gathered at Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center to honor our favorite island resident.

Gus is the star of his own show on MVTV, Martha's Vineyard Public Access Station. Although it usually airs Mondays at 2pm, you might want to check MVTV for the most updated schedule.

Visiting Friend

A baby owl is visiting us at the moment. A kind person found him sitting on the ground looking dazed and thought maybe Gus could help him out. He seems to be adjusting well to life at the park. Gus finds that he has quite the appetite for a little guy in such a new environment.
